Most Illustrious Companion Robert B. Haynes Biography

Most Illustrious Companion Robert B. Haynes was born on January 22, 1974, in Junction City, Kansas where he currently resides and works. He has been employed in the electrician’s trade for many years. Most Illustrious Companion Haynes previously served in the United States Navy which afforded him the opportunity to travel, visit places, and meet people from all over the world.

 

Most Illustrious Companion Haynes was Initiated, Passed, and Raised on Saturday, September 26, 1998, at Union Lodge No. 7 in Junction City, Kansas. He was a part of the Thomas Benjamin Fegan class at the Area 6 one day conferral. He is a Past Master of Union Lodge No. 7 in Junction City, Kansas and Benevolent Lodge No. 98 in Abilene, Kansas.

 

Within the York Rite, he was Exalted in Junction City Chapter No. 17, Greeted as a Royal and Select Master in Junction City Council No. 22, and Knighted as a Knight Templar in Junction City Commandery No. 43 in 1998. He is a Past Excellent High Priest, Past Illustrious Master, and Past Eminent Commander of those bodies. Most Illustrious Companion Haynes was appointed and served as the Grand Master of the Second Veil and Third Veil for the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Kansas. He has been previously appointed and served as a Grand Guard within the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas and received the Knights Templar Cross of Honor from the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America in 2024.

 

Most Illustrious Companion Haynes was selected and appointed by Most Illustrious Companion John T. Staton, to serve the Most Illustrious Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Kansas as the Grand Conductor of the Council. He continued to rise through the leadership line and was installed as Most Illustrious Grand Master of Cryptic Masons of Kansas on May 1, 2026.

 

Masonic interest in other bodies, and his service to the craft in general, has afforded Most Illustrious Companion Haynes the opportunity to become a member of several other masonic bodies. He is a member of the Salina Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite for the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States, where he is a 32° Scottish Rite Mason. Most Illustrious Companion Haynes is a Noble of the Mystic Shrine at Isis Temple in Salina, Kansas and a member of the Junction City/Fort Riley Shrine Club and is a part of the Mini Wheels Club of the Shrine. He currently holds membership in Jay A. Sheldon No. 117, Sword of Bunker Hill, St. David Conclave of the Red Cross of Constantine, Kansas Council No. 53 and W. Ron McKenzie Council No. 134, Knight Masons USA, Sunflower Council No. 383, Allied Masons Degrees USA, Newton Preceptory of Yeoman of York, Downpatrick Lodge, Masonic Order of Saint Patrick, the Kansas Order of the High Priesthood, Kansas Council of Thrice Illustrious Masters, and the Kansas Association of Past Commanders.

 

Most Illustrious Companion Haynes has served as Puissant Sovereign of St. David Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, Excellent Chief of W. Ron McKenzie Council No. 134, Knight Masons of the USA, and holds the 1st and 2nd Grade of the Masonic Order of Knights of the Scarlet Cord.
